I haven't had much experiences with other companies but the feel I got was this place might charge a little more than others but they do offer discounts and pricing can be "negotiated".
One of the best interactions I have had with a new contractor. Found them on Angie's list. Called at 10am, Valarie got all the information and details she needed, before she hung up she said "Welcome to the Ranshaw family". I asked her to have someone come after 12pm. Got a call at 12:30pm, someone is on the way. At 12:45pm Arnold showed up at my front door.
Love that it was not a sales person, love that my issue was resolved, love that I was explained everything, love the professionalism, love the fact that when I was talking to Arnold you can tell he loved working for the company & the family that owns it. You don't need sales people or anything else when you get people who love what they do and love the company they work for!
I asked a lot of questions and he was very patient in explaining everything to me. That was very important to me.
They came to the house to service the boiler and water heater. The person cleaned out the boiler, scrubbed all the pipes down, changed the washers, re-sealed everything, vacuumed all the crevices, and wiped everything down. Even tagged/labeled all the pipes. I thought he did a thorough job and would recommend this company to others. He didn't clean everything would a fine tooth comb (as expected) but I thought he was thorough enough.
They are not cheap, and they let you know this. They focus on service & quality which was very clear from my first interaction with them.
Bill just came to my parent's house to fix a heating issue. He was polite, professional and most importantly, knowledgeable! He diagnosed the problem within minutes and the price was also quite fair. My parents were happy with his work and will definitely call again in the future. Thank you, Bill!
I had a very good experience with Ranshaw. I need to replace my water heater and called to inquire about an estimate. Their receptionists were very professional, as well as Richie, who was more than helpful with scheduling the service call. Although they were a little pricier than I expected, it was worth it in the end. Hing came out to replace my water heater and was very efficient, polite, and helpful. He explained everything that he was doing, along with some extra unexpected work that he did not charge me for. Afterwards, he and his helper made sure to clean everything up and not leave a big mess. I would definitely use them and would not hesitate to recommend in the future.
Brent got me up and running no time!!! Very professional explained everything he did and made me feel comfortable that the job would be done properly and my homes hot water would be back up in no time. Very happy Ranshaw customer through the years and they always come through!!!
