Its a good school. I know cause i am studying in that school. It has every program. Teachers are so respectful and every dean are so nice. The only problem is the parents. Cause in the school there is strict rules and parents don't understand that but if you wanna go to a nice middle school, i recommend you IS61.

It's a nice school, it never hurt to sign up at this school. The problem is us i'm in 8 grade and i thought i was going to die but i survived plus if you are in harvard and you know someone who is stricter than the other teachers you have met then that teacher is trying to push you to go to a high grade and good high school so good luck
Its a good school had the same kids in my class for the whole 3 years I was in stanford academy, its fun especially during spirit week. I moved when I finished 7th grade but its a great school, had the same class for the 2 years i was there and still would have for 8th grade based on my friends.
IS61 is a great school to learn stuff. Right now I’m in Harvard and in the 2017-2018 year is packed with students, probably the 6th Graders. The Dean, Mr. Espinal is still on his strict mood, I have no idea if he was a lot more strict than the 2016-2017 year because I’m in one of the 6th Grade classes. Anyways, the teachers are pretty good, there kind, but in my perspective, when I raise a had, the teachers DONT EVEN SEE MY HAND, once I needed the bathroom, and I raised my hand, but as usual they don’t hear me, so I was there needing the bathroom soo badly and it was 7th period and there was a substitute, THANK GOD, and substitutes are definitely gonna listen to me, BUT NOPE, I couldn’t and I had to go up and tell the teacher, which I thought was rude and he screamed “NOT NOW”. By the end of the day, I ran to the nearest place I can use the bathroom and that was what I know about this school
I.S. 61 Leonardo Da Vinci is a good school. I'm currently 6th grade Yale and there's no bullying here. All the kids are against bullying in my academy. Also, My friend is in Harvard and it's also a really friendly academy. Princeton won academy of the year 3years so i'm guessing its a good academy. If you get Stanford or Cornell, its a peaceful academy. Nothing really special about them. They are just peaceful. My teachers are 97% nice and 3% mean. Just dont agervate them then they're 100% nice. The Deans are really protective and if you need help you go to them immediately. Their is one Lunch Ladie that is nice. Otherwise, the rest of them are mean! The food is good. Nothing bad about it. The Classroom and Lunchroom are ALWAYS clean. I Definetly RECCOMEND THIS SCHOOL!
