Old cinema charm and romantic ambiance. Tickets are cheap and they offer flicks that don't show in bigger mainstream theaters. Some screen rooms have updated stadium seats while others are really old, squeaky and uncomfortable. Concessions offer prices that are (slightly) cheaper than other theaters.
Went to see Professor Marston and the Wonder Women there about 2 weeks ago. I always walk past but I have never been inside. If you live in the Kew Gardens area I suggest you go. It is so old school and retro. They actually sell baked goods and the tickets are half the price of big name theaters. Even the opening of the movie was in 1980's retro. AWESOME. Going there to see Florida Project tomorrow.
Lovely little theater offering mostly independent films of quality. Nice neighborhood and convenient to public transport. Parking is difficult.
Experience excellent picture and sound quality. Enjoy the pictures on the walls of actors who paved the way for what movies are today. The waiting room is reminiscent of what I imagine movie houses were like in the 40's. This theater gives you value for your money.
The best. The movies shown there are cinema at its best. Wide variety of shows.
