So sad when you try to support business of color and you get terrible unprofessional service. I ordered the lunch special shrimp and fries. I asked how many came with it the lady who took my order said 8 I received 6 when I called about she said she made a mistake only come with lunch special she did offer to exchange my meal for fried whiting I told her that the fish was cheaper the shrimp. That was the second thing she didn't know about own job. When I asked instead of wasting the food I would be returning could I just get 2 more shrimp since she did misquote how many I would after specifically asked before ordering. She yelled back to the cook"could you just give her two more shrimp because she is whillin out over two shrimp" all this while on the phone with her. Completely unprofessional and ghetto. I hung up and went back into the business. I let her know I did not want to return anything and I didn't want any money back I just would not be coming back and that I heard what she said and that it was out of line and unprofessional. I doubt she nor the business owner cared and like the soul restaurant before them I guarantee they will be out of business in a matter of months to make way for a checkers Starbucks whatever...so sad my small minority business fails in America...No business etiquette!!!!
Good food but late delivery each time. Honestly its worth the wait though. This is not food you can get from everywhere so that's why I'm usually patient. The people who work there as well as delivery team are nice and they never tell me that they don't have something i want to order with is common with other soul food restaurants.
The place doesn't look like much from the outside and you might get sticker shock from the dinner prices but the portions are enough for 2 meals and the food is incredible. So far I've tried the barbecue chicken, whiting and the ribs. The fries are great and it's probably the best mac and cheese I've ever had. It's my mission to try everything they have.
The food is unetable period. Extremely salty and I like Salty Food but this Food is extreme. Only Juice they sell is soda, kool aid and Powered lemonade. This place is a straight contribution to high blood pressure, diabetes and heArt disease. The worst soul food I've ever tasted and expensive to boot
Ordered for delivery and the driver didn't call, must took my number down wrong and then the restaurant who has very strict ordering policies for deliveries didn't even call to inform me he couldn't contact me so I had to WAIT over an hour to hear I wasn't going to be receiving my food. I order because far rockaway lacks good food spots but their customer service always sucks, food is too salty and the fried chicken is sub-par
