The very next day Dr. Maria called me to tell me she had to speak to my son alone. I went straight there where she still tried to see my son alone and we both refused, after an argument she finally told us that our son had a priliminary positive HIV test - keep in mind he does not do drugs or is he sexually active and NO ONE gave her permission to run that test.
Horrible!!! Always a 3 hour wait with an appointment or not!!! Very poorly run facility!!! As much as I like the doctors the wait is NOT worth the wait!!!!
I yelled and told her how dare she try to give a child that kind of information alone. I told her I wanted every result they had for both of my children. She refused at first until I told her I wasn't leaving they would have to call the police she had us wait and then called us into her office to them tell me it just popped up NEGATIVE! Again I went crazy they did call the police and I received all of my children's paperwork. Took it all to another pediatrician which I gave it all to who also told me they ran an abundance of unnessary tests for a child physical and that my son is fine BUT, the results showed my daughter had pneumonia.
Dr. Marino is an excellent doctor. He will take as much time as is necessary to make sure all your questions are answered. Keep up the good work Doc.
We saw Dr. Maria for the first time for well visits for our two teenage children. She told us that an EKG was required for a sports physical which I found out is not true. She did 4 ekgs on our 15 year old son told us he could have an enlarged heart we panicked went to Cohens children's hospital saw a pediatric caridiologist who the performed a 5th ekg and told us our son was fine and no need for follow up!
Dr Mariya is great, she is the best Pediatrician I've ever dealt with. She is very thorough and is very good with her patients. She is a blessing to me and my kids. The staff is lovely everyone there is very nice.
Any person who was working there yesterday will know this story if you have children DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE!
